Paying for Raises

July 2022 |

Make data-driven decisions when it’s time to pay your staff more.

Veterinary staff wages are on the rise. DVM salaries have trended up over the last few years, and now many practices are also boosting their support-staff wages to remain competitive.

In the example below, a market-driven raise of $1 per hour for all 12 staff members would cost the practice almost $25,000 a year. If the practice owners want to maintain their current EBITDA margin, they could do so by seeing one more client per day or revising their fees to support a 2% top-line revenue increase.
