A study of 41 practices finds positive impact for pets, people and the profession.
Founded by Dr. Marty Becker, the Fear Free® mission is to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety and stress in pets by inspiring and educating the people who care for them.
The model has been transforming the veterinary experience for practice teams, clients and patients. Since certification launched in March 2016, thousands of individuals have registered for Fear Free certification nationwide to get the knowledge and tools to look after a pet’s physical and emotional well-being.
A new study of 41 Fear Free Certified Practices found there’s a significant payoff for using Fear Free methods. The study identified and measured several key performance indicators (KPIs), and found that Fear Free Certified Practices continually improved their own performance after three years of implementing Fear Free.
For these practices, the study found increases across the board:
- 14% increase in the number of patients per practices
- 23% increase in revenue per practice
- 37% increase in forward booking for feline patients
- 44% increase in forward booking for canine patients
